Veena D. Srinivas 38 years of musical journey… the Only Artiste from Telugu states to represent India

The first & the only Veena artiste from Telugu States to represent India at UNITED NATIONS in showcasing Indian Cultural Heritage & the recipient of prestigious Ugadi Visishta Puraskaram for the year 2011 - 12 and also the recipient of THE BESTVAINIKA award from the Prestigious Madras Music Academy 2011. The First Artist from Telangana to play Veena Concert at the famaous Queen Elizabeth Hall, London, U.K in 2015

Born in a family of musicians at Hyderabad in Telangana on 12-09-1968. Under the tutelage of his mother a popular Guru Smt. D. L. Tulasi, D. Srinivas began his career at the age of 9 and was applauded by one and all as a child prodigy.

Later had advanced guidance in music from Vidwan Sri N. S. Srinivasan (disciple of Flute maestro T. R. Mahalingam)

First prize winner ofAll India Radio Music Competitions in the year 1989.

He also had the privilege to play National Programme of music in ALL INDIA RADIO, Hyderabad relayed Live all over the nation.

Performed in Akashavani Sangeeth Sammelan & many national programme of Music Concerts fromAll India Radio & Doordarshan.

In the year 2012 D. Srinivas has achieved 'TOP' grade in Veena artist and became the only Top Grade Veena Artist of Telangana State.

Empaneled artiste of Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR).

He had the privilege to be chosen by Sangeet Natak Academy to represent India inshow casing the Indian Cultural Symbol (Veena) at United Nations (UN)

Also performed concerts with Padma Vibhushan Dr. Mangalampalli Balamurali Krishna and Violin Maestro Padma Bhushan Dr. L. Subrahmanyam.

Performing Veena Concerts at various prestigious National & International musical events all over India & abroad since 20 years.

Composed Music for the “ Dances of India” a ballet on Indian dance forms in the 10th National Youth Festival and presented a classical symphony concert with admasri Mandolin U. Srinivas and was felicitated by the Central Minister for youth services Late Sri Sunil Dutt and also by the Govt. ofAndhra Pradesh.

Blessed with a Golden Rudraksha mala embedded with Navaratnas by his holiness Pujya Sri Ganapathi Satchidananda Swamiji. Honoured with the "Kanchi Asthana Vidwan" title by his holiness Pujya Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamiji. Presently working as TOP grade Instrumentalist in All India Radio, Hyderabad

  • Composed music for “Andhra Vaibhavam” & “Andhram” dance ballets for Govt. of Andhra Pradesh. Dr. S. P. Balasubrahmanyam & Smt Chitra were the main singers of this Music and Dance ballets.
  • Composed music for “Navarasa Nata Bhamini” A dance ballet by Padmasri Smt. Shobha Naidu.
  • Composed music for many Sai Bhajans and Private Music albums
